This painting was done from a photo of my beloved Luna. She has been gone for about a year now. She was the sweetest dog and I miss her every day.

Not A Dog
I really would like to try painting birds and other small creatures. I was fairly pleased with my first attempt at them and hope to loosen my style a little more.
It's for sale on ebay for 3 days for $80 starting bid. I plan on opening an etsy store and may start to move some paintings over there. 18x24 Oil on Canvas

Update notifications and comments
I'm surprised that there doesn't seem to be a function where blog readers can request email notifications of blog updates. Am I wrong? If so, let me know. Anyway, I can add up to 10 email addresses on my end to receive notification via email when I post a new blog. If you are interested in being one of these 10, drop me a line.
Also, I changed the preference that requires a blog reader to have a google account to leave comments. Personally, I wouldn't want to sign up for a new account everytime something caught my attention on the web. There are already too many usernames and passwords to manage in life and there is little risk of trolls here.
I look forward to hearing from you.

The Dog Show at Green Rice Gallery
I have been busy preparing for The Dog Show at Green Rice Gallery in the NoDa arts district, here in Charlotte, NC. It's exciting and challenging. It's a show of about ten artists, from Charlotte and beyond, exhibiting their pet portraits.
Here are a couple of my paintings that will be on display. I will have nine paintings in the show.
This is a link to an early press release on the NoDa website: The Dog Show
Thanks to Angela Goodman, Carla Garrison, and gallery owner Allison Wolf Hertzler for organizing the show.

I'm Free
I lost my Lab to cancer this summer. She was a magnificent dog. I miss taking photographs of her for my paintings. This is how I imagine her to be now. Free.
You can purchase this 14"x18" Oil painting on canvas for $150. Please contact me for details.
For future, I will be listing paintings for sale here as well as on eBay.
